Friday: It's a Wrap

Two weeks in now, and we're still here!

Monday, Mindful Homeschooler featured an approach to teaching children poetry.

For Tuesday, professional writer Sara Schmidt made recommendations, using her own experience as an example, for how to cope with your child's anger.

On Wednesday, I shared my awesome DIY bulletin board.

Thursday, Mindful Homeschooler shared a review on The Logic of English.

What a day.

I am in the middle of a dog rescue - found him a week ago, did not find owners, have had him neutered and am currently trying to adopt him out.  No luck yet.  He's a black pug mix (experienced dog people have thrown around the term "puggle"), about a year old.  Eager to please.  I have enough of my plate, we've done all we can do, and someone else needs to provide his forever home.

I was also nearly up to my elbows in oil-based primer earlier today ... unaware it was oil-based till I tried to wash it off and stepped outside in the fresh air and was ready to pass out.  It was bad.  Note to self, when sending a husband (who doesn't paint) for paint, read what he bought BEFORE proceeding.  It was awful.

Then I took five kids to a children's museum (4, 5, 6, 7, and 9).  None were quite old enough to wander alone (it's a BIG place), and two of them were hopelessly injuring themselves.  Seriously, THREE times I was offered to fill out "accident reports."  It was fun and educational (homeschool science lab day), but absolutely ridiculous.

Ended with friends and pizza, so that's good stuff.
